Milele FM morning show presenter Alex Mwakideu has reneged on his earlier announcement that he is leaving the station.

In a subsequent statement, hours after the first one, Mwakideu said there had been a "small misunderstanding" which has now been resolved.

"Yooh, bado niko Milele FM. Kumbe munanipenda hivi... aaawwweeee... Thank you for all the phone calls and text messages, we had a small misunderstanding, which has been sorted. So we are now good to go," he said.

Mwakideu's career

Mwakideu, who is the current head of Milele FM radio, started his career at Mombasa-based Baraka FM before he moved to radio Maisha where he worked for eight years.

At Radio Maisha, Mwakideu co-hosted the morning show alongside Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o, the current Lang'ata MP.

The duo jointly quit Radio Maisha in 2018 and joined Milele FM where they continue with their dominance in the airwaves.

Mwakideu and Jalang'o worked together at Milele FM until 2020 when the latter left the station to join politics.
