A Johannesburg court has allowed an Air Tanzania plane, an Airbus 220-300, that was seized by the South African government to depart the country.
The Air Tanzania plane was seized on August 23, shortly after landing at the Oliver Tambo International Airport over a debt owed to a South African farmer.
According to Tanzanian news website, The Citizen, the ruling to release the Air Tanzania plane was made on Wednesday, September 4, by the Gauteng Lower Division Court.

But the court also ordered the first respondent in the case to pay the costs.
Tanzania’s Deputy Foreign Minister Damas Ndumbaro, who attended the court ruling, said he was happy with the court’s judgment to release the plane.
