Police in Nandi East have nabbed 79 litres of suspected illicit liquor in Kisoga village, Ainapng'etuny Location and Seiyo village in Kapkoros, Nandi Hills constituency.

Led by Nandi East police commander Francis Omulo, officers arrested four suspects -three women and a man drawn from the two locations.

"The war against illicit brews is a government directive. We are not going to relent. The traders of these illegal businesses must stop," Omulo warned.

The suspects have since been locked up in police custody and are set to be arraigned in court on Monday.

"I don't know why these people are not obeying the laws. It is not going to be business as usual. It is now or never. We will arrest and judge you for these illegal acts," Omulo affirmed.

Adding;

"Illicit liquor is dangerous and you have seen even Kenyans losing lives. We don't want such to happen in our sub-county."
