A 26-year-old man lost his life during a police recruitment exercise that kicked off yesterday in a bid to have more officers in the country.
The unfortunate incident happened at Busia Stadium in Matayos Sub-county.
The man identified as Elijah Ochieng, who is also a third-year student at Mount Kenya University, is said to have collapsed while doing exercises with the rest.

He is said to have succumbed while undergoing first aid treatment on his way to the hospital.
His body was immediately moved to St. Francis mortuary in Busia where an autopsy will be conducted to show the cause of his death.
According to his family, Ochieng had the passion of joining the Kenya police.
"Since he was young, he has always dreamt of joining police service to serve the nation," one of the family members said.
