His Unctad second and final term ends mid 2020, a time when he will officially launch his presidential campaigns.

“I am ready to serve the country owing to my experience on international experience ,” he said while addressing the media in Bungoma County.

Kituyi said top of his agenda will be implementing policies to improve the country's economy.

He was first appointed to the UN in 2013 and re-appointed for a second term in 2017.

Dr Kituyi studied political science and International relations at the University of Nairobi and at Makerere University in Uganda.
