Celebs born with a silver spoon in their mouths attended some of the most prestigious schools and institutions in the country and abroad.
Here are four well-known personalities who attended elite schools.
Janet Mbugua
Janet is a celebrated media personality and the founder of The Inua Dada Foundation- A nonprofit dedicated to empowering young women to achieve their goals in life. The former news anchor attended Brookhouse, which costs Ksh2.1 million shillings a year to attend.
Size 8
Size 8, a well-known gospel singer, attended State House Girls for a few years before receiving a scholarship to pursue her study at the prestigious Hillcrest High.
She told Churchill Show's 'Journey series' that she was a superb student who received a scholarship to State House Girls before shifting to Hillcrest because of her artistic abilities.
"At Hillcrest, I got the biggest shock of my life as I used a matatu to go to school while some students used choppers."
The school fees at Hill Crest is between Ksh1-2 million for Grade 1-12.
Nick Mutuma
Nick Mutuma is both a director and an actor. He attended the International School of Tanganyika for his basic education before enrolling at Braeside School in Nairobi.
The current annual tuition fees are as follows: early childhood 1-2: $15,500; kindergarten-grade 5: $22,600; grades 6-8: $26,200; grades 9-10: $27,800; and grades 11-12: $32,000.
Ian Nene
Ian Munene gained prominence after featuring in the Machachari comic series. He attended Brookhouse School before leaving the country. For students in grades 12 and 13, Brookhouse costs Ksh2.1 million.
Waihiga Mwaura
Waihiga Mwaura's educational history may be traced back to Lavington's Rusinga Schools. After that, he pursued a computer science degree at Africa Nazarene University and graduated, but he was not interested in pursuing a career in IT, he shifted to media. Rusinga High School costs Ksh1.2 million shillings a year.
