Tanzanian songstress Zuhura Othman Soud alias Zuchu has raised eyebrows after she archived all her social media posts.
The move comes just days after she received a six-month ban from performing in Zanzibar island.
The 'Honey' hitmaker who archived all her posts left many guessing whether the reason for her sudden social media cleanse is because she is observing the holy month of Ramadhan which began on Monday, March 11.

However, no artiste or celebrity has gone on a social media detox because of Ramadhan.
Her social media detox also comes shortly after her relationship with Tanzanian bongo star Diamond Platnumz hit a rocky patch.
Zuchu reacts after being banned
Zuchu recently revealed that she was summoned by Tanzania's National Arts Council (BASATA) for guidance, following a ban imposed on her by the Zanzibar Arts Council (BASSFU).
She expressed gratitude for BASATA's intervention, stating they provided her with valuable advice on how to navigate her art while respecting Tanzanian culture and traditions.
"Kupitia baraza la sanaa la Tanzania Basata kwanza nianze kwa kuwashukuru walenzi wetu kwa kuniita jana na kufanya kikao na mimi cha kunipa maelekezo muongozo sahihi jinsi ya kufanya sanaa yangu bila kukiuka tamaduni na desturi zetu za Kitanzania," Zuchu stated.
Addressing her controversial performance in Zanzibar on February 24, 2024, Zuchu apologized for any misunderstandings or offence caused.
She clarified that her intention was solely to entertain and not to undermine cultural values or morals.
"Hivyo basi kutokana na sintofahamu iliyojitokeza siku ya tarehe ishirini na nne siku ya show yangu ya Zanzibar pale Kendwa niombe radhi kwa jamii kama kuna sintofahamu yoyote imejitokeza na kama kuna mtu yoyote ama mrengo nimekera," she said.
"Lengo lilikua kuburudisha na sio kupotosha maada. Naomba radi tena kwa walezi wangu baraza la sanaa Basata wana wao wamekua mchango mkubwa kwa kutulea sisi na kutuongoza vizuri na kutuelekeza kutokiuka maadili yetu. Nashukuru kwa kikao kilichofanyika ikiwa kosa la kwanza na kunipa sikio la kujielezea na kujitetea. Nashukuru sana baraza la sanaa Tanzania," she added.
Zuchu, Diamond breakup
Zuchu announced the end of her relationship with Diamond attributing it to disrespect.
She shared a video referencing the well-known saying "familiarity breeds contempt," particularly in light of Diamond's interactions with his baby mama Zari Hassan.
A video of Zari and Diamond holding hands as they walked together like a couple on Thursday, February 22, 2024, was seemingly the reason behind the breakup.
In a detailed statement released on Friday, February 23, 2024, Zuchu expressed her desire for this breakup to be permanent, despite their history of reconciliations.
However, she emphasized that Diamond will remain her business partner moving forward.
"Hello family, I had to post this to clear my conscience. Kuanzia leo hii mimi na nasibu (Diamond) hatuko pamoja. I know this has been our thing but as hard as it is kumuacha mtu unaempenda hii naomba mungu iwe ya mwisho na nianze maisha mapya. Mapenzi ni heshima kwa bahati mbaya sana hiko kimekosekana kwetu . .as for him bado tuna kazi za pamoja i wish him and his family the absolute best. Tumeishi vizuri lakini nadhani hii sio rizki. Mwaka huu nimejifunza kusema hapana kwa kila kitu kisichonipa furaha ama baada ya kusema haya naona kabisa naenda kuanza ukurasa mpya wenye maisha yaliyojaa furaha, uhuru na amani. As for now kazi iendelee and I am single🍻Yours truly Zuchu❤️," she wrote.
