Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika joined a wave of tributes flooding social media following the tragic death of TikTok sensation Brian Chira.

Chira lost his life in a hit-and-run accident in Karuri area, Kiambu County.

Expressing her condolences on her Insta Stories, Vera Sidika urged Kenyans to cherish their loved ones noting that life is fleeting.

"May his soul rest in peace. So sad," she mourned.

Vera stressed the importance of showing appreciation to those we care about while they are still with us.

"Hug your loved ones and pray. So many premature deaths happening this year. May God see us through," she wrote.

One of her fans acknowledged her genuine gesture of kindness.

"So sad...Good, you appreciated him while he was still alive. ...I saw you reposted his story before...Vera, you've got a sweetheart. May continue blessing you," the fan remarked.

"Always give people their flowers when they're alive to receive them. Life is short and tomorrow is never promised," she advised.

Vera cheers on Chira

In September 2023, during one of his social media antics, Vera reposted a video of Chira where he said she was his role model.

"I like him; he knows exactly what he's doing. Do you, boo!" Sidika captioned the video.

Chira had commended Sidika's ability to ignore critics and focus on her goals.

"You will keep talking, but she keeps on making moves. Today, I have seen her being posted everywhere. Where is she now? Beverly Hills! We, on the other hand, are here in Ruaka. Where is she? Beverly Hills! Thank you," Chira said.

"I wanna be like Vera Sidika. Yani, I wanna be the male version of Vera. Si ni Kweli, si Vera ako Beverly, and we are stuck here doing what? Tuko mboka," he jested.

Brian Chira's death

Police confirmed the death of the TikToker, stating that he succumbed to severe head injuries sustained in the hit-and-run incident.

Before the accident, reports suggest that the deceased had visited a bar in the Gacharae area where he was later ejected following a disturbance.

On his way home by motorcycle, he was struck by a speeding lorry while crossing the road near his destination. The lorry fled the scene after the collision.

Law enforcement arrived promptly, relocating his body to the City Mortuary where grieving fans and family members gathered for a final viewing.

Support poured in from various quarters on social media, offering condolences to the bereaved family.

Fellow TikToker Nyako expressed her sorrow, reflecting on her significant role in the deceased's life and urging followers to reflect on their own journeys and final moments.

Chira, who had gained rapid popularity on TikTok, had recently taken a hiatus from social media, prompting concerns about his well-being.

In a previous statement, he reassured fans that he was simply taking time off to focus on self-improvement after a rough period.

"I just took a break from a year of chaos. I'm fine. Hang in there. It's not every day that's a trending day. I had to work on myself and I feel better now," he had said in a post on Instagram.
