Irma Sakwa, the mother and manager of popular music sensation Trio Mio, is raising concerns about her son's safety following online death threats.

In the recent threat as shared by a Twitter user only identified as Theecarbon4, two men are heard spitting careless death threats to Cheza Kama Wewe hitmaker claiming he allegedly took off with some of their money.

"Trio Mio, why did you steal our money? We will finish you. We are fearless," the message posted on May 31, 2023, indicates.

In her response, Trio's mom sought the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)'s help to tame and protect her son against such serious threats.

“This is not funny at all. Not long ago, my son got mugged at gunpoint; we have yet to get over the trauma. Then this? DCI, have you seen this? As a parent, I humbly request for action to be taken against these characters! My heart isn't at peace. May God protect my child,” she wrote.

At the time of publishing this article, the DCI had not responded and the video is still visible online.

In April, Trio Mio revealed that he lost his two phones and car keys to the three gunmen who robbed him at gunpoint while returning home from the studio.

The robbers reportedly identified the musician and greeted him before getting in his car armed with a gun and the other a panga.

"I was ready to give them everything, my shoes and clothes as long as they spared my life. They had cocked the gun and placed it on my stomach. They took my two phones and I gave them the car keys," he narrated.
