Content creator Purity Vishenwa alias Pritty Vishy has revealed that she was married three times before, twice to married men.
Vishy reminisced about her three failed marriages while speaking during an interview with Lynn Ngugi.
She revealed that she got married for the first time when she was in class seven and that her husband was a gangster.
The controversial content creator said she decided to get hitched after she returned home late only to overhear her family discussing how they would hand her a dog's beating for getting back home at around 11 pm.
Vishy had gone to visit the kleptomaniac boyfriend when she lost her sense of time. On hearing her family's plan to discipline her, she went back to her sweetheart and got married asap.
"Imagine hivyo ndo niliolewa. Sikuwai rudi home," she said.
Vishy disclosed that she found out that her first husband was a thief when her mother threatened to raid her matrimonial home with police in a bid to make her go back with her.
"So venye huyo boy alikuja akaambiwa na majirani 'wee mama huyo dem alikua hapa na amesema atakuletea mapolisi'. Kumbe alikua mwizi mi naye sijui. So ikabidi ametafuta mahali atakua analala so mi nalala kwa nyumba pekeangu but mchana tuko wote."
Vishy walked out of her first marriage after a female neighbour, who was in an abusive marriage, advised her to go back home, warning her that she could end up in the same boat as her.
Second marriage
Vishy got married for the second time after she ran away from home when her mother beat her silly.
She bumped into her would-be husband while loitering in her neighbourhood after fleeing home. The man invited her into his house and just like a script out of a Bollywood movie, Vishy fell head over heels in love and got married.
The TikToker got married for the second time when she was in form one.
"Tena hio siku ni siku tu nilipigwa kuzunguka hivi nyuma nkakutana na kijana akaniambia 'usijali ingia hapa utaenda asubuhi mamako akitulia'. Tuliingia na hivyo ndo nkaolewa. Mara ya pili, sasa ndo niko form one nilikua 17, 18," she said.
Vishy's marriage crumbled after she discovered that her second husband was a married man. She said she opted to go back home as her husbae became violent and threatened to smack her when she confronted him about having a wife.
"So nikakujanga kumuuliza akaanza kua muviolent. Anakua mkali hadi anataka kunipiga. Nikasema 'yee! Unataka kunipiga mimi? I have watched my mom being beaten every single day, bro you will not beat me let me go'. Nikaanza kupack vitu zangu nikarudi home'," Vishy said.
Third marriage
Vishy took a third stab at marriage after falling for a man who had pursued her for some time, confusing her with sweet words that 'get a serpent out of its burrow'.
She said her third husband was also a married man and that his wife was her mother's friend.
"After form two tena nikaolewa bwana ya wenyewe tena. Alikua akinikatianga so nikaamua kumpea chance kumbe ni bwana ya wenyewe tena. Sasa huyu naye bibi yake ni beste ya mama yangu. I was innocent sikua najua," Vishy recalled.
The man's wife confronted Vishy and later physically attacked her but she didn't leave him.
However, Vishy would learn about her husband's undesirable character when they settled and she opted to run back to her mother's house.
"Tukaanza life sasa hapo ndo nikaanza kuona true colours zake. Mtu amekaa ameshikanisha miguu vizuri ananiambia niletee maji na maji iko tu pale. Mimi Purity, ahh narudi home. Kama hizi ndo vitu zinaendelea huku wacha tu nirudi home," Vishy narrated.
The controversial content creator said her three marriages only lasted for one school term each - about three months.
It was after her third marriage that she started dating Stivo Simple Boy in 2019.
"Do you regret ever getting into those three marriages?" She was asked.
Vishy outrightly stated that she had zero regrets about getting married thrice at a young age, explaining that the experiences armed her with valuable knowledge and lessons she can apply in her future marriage.
"No, I don't. I don't regret because imenifunza so many things about marriage. Like so many things about marriage. At least ata nkiolewa I will settle because nimekula maisha ata nikiolewa huko nje I am ok," she said.
