Jacque Maribe expressed her frustrations with the court after the judgement in Monica Kimani's murder case was postponed for the second time.

The media personality expected the court to deliver a verdict on Friday, December 16, 2023, but she was completely shuttered when the judgment was postponed again.

Maribe took to Instagram to rant after the postponement of the judgement, complaining about justice delayed.

"It needs to stop!! 5 years I have respected the court, but also this is too much. This is not Kenya, Justice delayed is justice denied. Stop putting people's live at limbo. If I am not culpable I'm not. I'm tired of this," Jacque Maribe wrote.

In a subsequent post, Maribe expressed excitement about her upcoming birthday on December 18 after being disappointed by the court.

Court verdict

The High Court on Friday, December 16, 2023, postponed delivery of judgment in the case where Jacque Maribe and Joseph Irungu alias Jowie are charged with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

The judgment was initially set to be issued on October 6, 2023, but was deferred after Lady Justice Grace Nzioka was reported to be ill.

The court was to deliver the verdict on December 15, but once again the judgment has been pushed to January 26, 2024.

Jowie and Jacque Maribe are accused of killing businesswoman Monica Kimani in September 2018.

Maribe and Jowie, through their lawyers, asked the court to acquit them saying the prosecution had failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that they killed Monica who was found brutally murdered at her home in Lamuria Gardens.
