Twitter sensation Kevin Mboya has returned to Nairobi from Kwale after a surprise visit went unexpected.
Mboya became a subject of intense debate across social media circles after he shared that he was stealthily heading to his girlfriend's workplace to surprise her on her birthday.
At the time, the hopeless romantic man shared photos of himself holding a bouquet ready to surprise his lover.
"I have travelled all the way from Nairobi to Kwale to come and surprise my girlfriend on her birthday. I haven't texted or called her in the last 24hrs, she maybe thinks I forgot it's her birthday. I am waiting for her just outside her office to surprise her. I hope it goes well," he wrote.

While quarters lauded him for the warm gesture, a section of social media users decried that the young man was in for a surprise.
Shortly after, Mboya went pin-drop silent and failed to update the status of his visit.
This attracted debate from fans who were now eager to know what happened.
However, two days later, Mboya returned home with his bouquet and a cocktail of disappointment, anger and other unpalatable emotions. He also stated that he would reveal the details of what transpired soon.
"Hi, guys… I've just come back home. Four days ago, I went to Kwale to see 'mheshimiwa'. I went with flowers but I returned with them. Of course, this has to pass some message. I am not emotionally okay, but I can say what happened.
"While leaving for Kwale, I went there with love but I have come back with room for more love. Thank you for your concern..more about what happened in Kwale, I will share it soon," Mboya said.
Further, the influencer alluded that he had learned his lesson and was on his journey toward healing from heartbreak.
