Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has been discharged from the hospital a day after his father confirmed that he was critically ill due to recurring stomach complications.

The legendary musician, who was hospitalized in Minneapolis, US, shared the good news of his recovery with his fans on Instagram.

"I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and prayers that I received during my hospitalization. Your kind wishes have truly given me strength through this challenging time," he wrote.

"I am now on the road to recovery. Thank you Aline Medical Hospital Minneapolis for your significant role in my progress. While my recovery may still require some time and patience, I am confident that I will return to good health soon. God has always been good to me. Thank you all my people," he concluded.

Chameleone's father revealed that his son has been battling recurring stomach complications for months and had decided to undergo surgery while in America.

The singer's condition worsened upon his return from a short trip to Jamaica, leading to his hospitalization.

Jose has had a history of medical issues, with reports of stomach complications dating back to 2015.

He was hospitalized in critical condition in January 2021, and in August 2021, he was admitted to Nakasero Hospital in Kampala, where his wife Daniella Atim revealed that he was suffering from H. pylori, a bacterial infection that affects the stomach.

During this challenging time, Daniella expressed her frustration with social media users sharing unflattering photos of her husband in the hospital.

She emphasized the importance of protecting their children's emotional well-being and urged people to focus on positive images of their loved ones instead.

Chameleone's recovery is a source of relief for his fans, who have shown tremendous support and prayers throughout his hospitalization.
