Edday Nderitu has clarified that her marriage to Samidoh is over because of his involvement with Karen Nyamu.
The mother of three, who moved to the US with all her children in early May 2023, said in a post on social media on July 22, 2023, that she was not in a polygamous marriage as she had left her husband to 'whoever needed him more'.
"Lemmie clarify few things that were shared online and not accurate…… I am not in any polygamous marriage as stated I left the husband for whoever needed him more," Edday wrote on Facebook in part.
She explained that she decided to leave Samidoh in order to protect their teen daughter who was a direct recipient of an 'unbelievable behaviour' displayed.
"I made a decision to remove myself and my kids from that toxic environment especially my teen daughter who unfortunately is direct recipient of unbelievable behavior displayed …" She added.
The mother of three additionally revealed that she had so far managed to sustain her children without any help.
"I have managed to sustain my kids needs so far with no help and I am not regretting any bit of it. About communication and video calls I will leave that one there since some people seems to be present when that is happening but I’m not aware."
Edday humbly requested to be left out of the dramas now that she is starting a new episode of her life.
"In this new season of my life I don’t need any drama, I need peace only ,I hope next episode of this series my name will be left out. nothingbutprayers #powerofprayers," she wrote.
Nyamu/Samidoh relationship
Karen Nyamu has three children. Her firstborn daughter was sired by DJ Saint Kevin while the last two were fathered by Samidoh.
Samidoh has three children with his wife Edday Nderitu.
Karen Nyamu and Samidoh have had an on/off relationship for a long time, albeit in secret in the beginning.
Despite initially denying that they were in a relationship, the two were blessed with a son together in November 2020. Karen publicly announced that Samidoh was the father of her son in late February 2021.
On March 2, 2021, Samidoh took to social media to publicly apologize to his wife Edday for fathering a child with Karen Nyamu.
"I am sorry!!! I have put my family and myself in a bad situation. It is true I had a friendship with Ms Karen Nyamu and it's this involvement that led to the birth of an innocent child whom I have and will always support both emotionally and materially. I am a proud father to my children.
"I am however perturbed by the motive and timing of these past videos which have led to unnecessary trolling of the child and my wife, I have never left my wife of 11 years for another woman. I apologized to her and my family before.
"I now apologize to you my fans for setting a bad example. I take full responsibility for my mistakes which I regret. We have had our own share of ups and downs but we are stronger and happy together," Samidoh wrote on Facebook.
Samidoh, however, knocked up Karen Nyamu again after apologising to his wife.
On February 26, 2022, Karen gave birth to her second child with Samidoh.
Samidoh and Karen had a dramatic breakup in Dubai in December 2022. However, in March 2023 the UDA-nominated senator announced they were back together.
Samidoh's wife suggested that she would walk out of her marriage after he reunited with Karen Nyamu.
Edday penned an emotional message on her Facebook page suggesting that she would walk out of her marriage as she stressed that she couldn't raise her children in a polygamous marriage.
Even though Samidoh's estranged wife has stressed that she couldn't be in a polygamous marriage, Nyamu on the other hand has on multiple occasions referred to Edday as her co-wife noting that she was willing to share the Mugithi singer.
In late June, Karen Nyamu bragged on social media about how Edday left Samidoh for her after she moved to the US.
