Kenyan chef Dennis Ombachi has revealed the power of manifestation after treating Nigerian singer Davido to a local cuisine.

In a video shared online, the chef is seen explaining to Davido how to prepare ugali-omena, a meal synonymous with single urban dwellers and students.

"Bring the pepper, tomato, onions, ginger, garlic, red chilli, salt, masala, turmeric...," Ombachi is heard revealing the ingredients, as Davido watches on enjoying his mastery in kitchen affairs.

After the meal is done, Davido is seen taking a bite of the meal before commenting "Done!", in reference to Ombachi's signature word while explaining his recipes.

On Sunday, March 31, 2024, the Roaming Chef said cooking for Davido was one of the fulfilment of his dreams, which he manifested on April 17, 2023.

"Manifesting works it just takes time and hard work, it finally happened," he said.

In a video shared in April 2023, Davido announced that he had followed Ombachi, popularly known as the "Roaming Chef".

"My wife is a cook and she does cooking videos. That's why I've followed the Roaming Chef," Davido said.

Davido was in Nairobi for the Raha Festival 2024, a two-day event going down at the Uhuru Gardens featuring top artistes such as Iyanya and Kenya's Mejja.

"Coming from sports I have won a couple of medals but there's is a different feeling that this one has. I dedicate this award to you my love and our beautiful babies and thanks for hustling to dress me."

As of March 2024, Ombachi had accumulated over 1.3 million followers on Instagram, 180,000 followers on Twitter and 2.3 million followers on TikTok.

In a previous interview, the self-taught chef openly discussed experiencing depression as a result of his injuries during his time as a rugby player.

He said that it was through the cooking videos that he found inspiration to venture into creating his cooking content and thus the 'Roaming Chef' alias was born.
