Mugiithi singer Carol Katrue who doubles up as a content creator has unveiled her latest hairdo.
The singer who is married to Miracle Baby revealed that she traded her signature locs for a new short blonde look.
Having debuted the hairdo in a new song featuring her husband, Carol Katrue has shared her reasons for shaving off her locs.
Speaking in a detailed TikTok video, Katrue asked her fans to accept the new looks adding this is the new her.
"Hii mta like chaa nguvuu," Carol Katrue said.
According to her, having locs for years has not benefitted her in any way. In fact, she says it cost her more to maintain it every other week.

"For those who have been asking me why I shaved my dreadlocks, here is the reason. Nimeishi na nywele kubwa na hainisaidiangi. Hata labda mwenye alisema akili ni nywele hakuwa anamaanisha za kichwa," Carol Katrue tokd fans on TikTok.
This being the first time Katrue is rocking short hair, her fans in the comment section commended her girly look, applauding her for the change.
Most pointed out how classy she now appears having dropped her locs that made her look somehow 'tough.'
Having also noted the changes, Katrue referred to her new style as the 'soft life' urging women to do what is best for themselves.

Carol Katrue's new style comes four months since welcoming her first child with Peter Miracle Baby, making him a father of five.
