There was drama at Embu Water and Sanitation Company [EWASCO] in Embu town when the company's suspended MD engineer Felix Mutuura reported back to office after he was reinstated by the board of directors and the Water Service Regulatory Board [WASREB].
The acting Managing Director CPA Dickson Njiru was surprised when the recalled manager showed up in the office and took up his responsibilities.
During the melee, a group of locals stormed the office demanding an explanation on whether the wrangles will lead to a lack of water in the region again.

It is alleged that the group had accompanied the acting MD to eject the reinstated manager out of office.
Police officers from Embu police station had to chip in to calm the situation which was nearly getting out of hand.
Dr. Johannes Njoka who is the chairman of the Board of Directors at EWASCO said that his action to recall the MD was advised by the recommendations made by the County Assembly of Embu and WASREB.
