Yvonne Khisa and Bushra, former members of the Crazy Kennar comedy crew, took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about the early days of their content creation journey.

In a joint YouTube interview, the two shared insights into the challenges they faced, the unbreakable bond that held them together, and their current aspirations.

Harking back to the year 2017, Yvonne Khisa shed light on the humble beginnings of their content creation venture.

Yvonne recounted how they shared a cramped bedsitter but still had the unyielding determination to wake up and do content.

"When we started back in 2017, we had no brand, we had nothing. We stayed together in a bedsitter, like six people. But you still wake up every day and shoot," Yvonne narrated.

The cornerstone of their success, as emphasized by Bushra, was the resilience they exhibited, the unwavering bond that connected them, and their shared goal of creating engaging and humorous content.

"I think because each of us were doing it for passion. We were doing it because we love doing it. Not for the money and all," Bushra said.

While they are individually focused on their respective journeys, the two comedians affirmed their intention to collaborate intermittently.

"We are now focused on our own individual journeys but we will be collaborating from time to time," Bushra affirmed.

Yvonne echoed the sentiment, highlighting her own achievements and aspirations. She emphasized her ability to create viral videos independently and her experience collaborating with diverse brands, which further cemented her belief in her potential.

"I have done videos alone and they have gone viral, so I believe I have the ability to do more, and I have worked with various brands and seen my potential," Yvonne shared.

Yvonne, Bushra won't go back

Asked whether they would go back to working with Kennar if he ever called them back, Bushra said while emphasising that the level of disrespect they experienced was so significant that the idea of reengaging with Kennar was completely out of the question.

"Would you go back if Kennar called today and said he wanted you back?" The interviewer asked.

"The disrespect was too much to even think of going back," she replied without delving into what had happened.

This comes in the wake of the content boss inviting new applications after one of the former crew members Wanjiru Africas revealed that their contracts were terminated.

Taking to his official Facebook page, the comedian posted a burner for the casting call, inviting talented and capable actors to apply.

While listing the qualities he was looking for in prospective actors, he advised applicants to send their headshots, full pictures and landscape videos showcasing their prowess in acting.

"Send your headshot, your full picture and landscape video format (Introduce yourself followed by your happy monologue) The video should not exceed 60 seconds," the statement read.
