A woman whose husband was shot dead by a police officer who went berserk on Tuesday, December 7, killing his wife and five others is now demanding justice.

Winfred Nyambura is asking the government to intervene and ensure the family gets justice after her husband identified as Amos Njoroge was shot dead.

In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Benson Imbatu went berserk and shot dead his wife only identified as Carol before he walked out of his house at J Heights Apartments and shot five bodaboda operators.

Speaking to the media, Nyambura said that a section of locals who know her husband were the ones who broke the sad news to the family.

“I was in the house when some people came and told me about the incident. I went to the scene where I found out that my husband was indeed among those killed,” an emotional Nyabura told the media.

A police report seen by K24 Digital revealed that the officer who ended the lives of the six also committed suicide by turning the firearm on himself.

The incident led to demonstrations along the busy Nakuru- Nairobi Highway as residents barricaded the roads demanding justice.
