Detectives on Sunday arrested two suspects for defrauding a man at Githurai Kimbo of Sh72,000 by false pretenses.

Two suspects, Ethan Mwangi and Isaiah Otieno, allegedly presented themselves as sellers of 20-ft containers to swindle the cash from their unsuspecting client.

Police tracked the duo to Huruma Estate in Nairobi where they arrested them.

"The two... were arrested within Huruma Estate in Nairobi and were found in possession of ID cards belonging to other individuals, forged documents including bill of landing and delivery documents in the name of Hakika Transporters, assorted SIM cards and various mobile phones used by the suspects to execute their ill missions," said Directorate of Criminal Investigations on Twitter.

The suspects will be arraigned and charged on Monday.
