The decomposed body of a 27-year-old man from Mwingi Town in Kitui County was on Friday found in his house after he reportedly went missing a few days to the shocking discovery.
Mohamed Dondi, the deceased’s landlord, said he was passing by Ali Msengangu’s house when a foul smell from the 27-year-old man’s rented caught his attention.
Dondi said he called a few young men, who helped him break down Ali’s door and found him lying lifeless on his bed.
Ali’s friends said he appeared jovial and healthy a few days before he “went missing”.
Ali’s body was taken to Mwingi Level Four Hospital morgue.
A postmortem examination will be conducted on the late Ali to ascertain the cause of his death.
