Shock engulfed Mukuru-Hazina slums in South B, Nairobi county after a 28-year-old man believed to be dead and buried showed up on the evening of Friday, March 24, 2023.
The area residents and relatives were in disbelief when Meshack Ondieki Nyambane who was 'buried' in Kisii county three weeks ago returned home.
Consequently, they reported to the South B police station to demand an explanation and confirmation of what they believed was a miracle.

Officers at the station had a difficult time trying to control the crowd which had stormed into the station, and it took the intervention of Makadara police commander Judith Nyongesa to calm down the charged crowd.
Nyongesa intimated to a local publication that Nyambane had been arrested and jailed after he was sentenced to serve two months in prison.
At the time, he was sentenced for blocking motorists and other pedestrians in Nairobi on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, and he had pleaded guilty.
He served a part of his sentence at the Nairobi West prison, Lang'ata, and completed his sentence in Ruiru prison after he was transferred.
Nyambane was released on Friday, March 24, 2023, since he had completed his sentence.
His family expressed utter shock at the revelation noting that they had positively identified his body during his 'burial'.
Led by his cousin, Paul Magara, the family noted that they had received information from the City mortuary regarding a body collected from a sewer. This was after their kin had gone missing and efforts to find him were futile.
"The body was badly damaged as if it had been burned with acid. His elder brother identified the body," Magara stated.
"Boda Boda operators participated in large numbers and money was raised for funeral costs due to the condition of the body - so that it did not get damaged further," Kennedy Magara, another family member added.
The shocking revelation proved to the family that they had buried the wrong body.
Nyongesa subsequently urged members of the public to be keen when identifying the bodies of their loved ones to avoid similar issues.
The police boss affirmed to the crowd that police were probing the incident.
