Controversial preacher James Maina Ng’ang’a is in legal trouble for threatening to render his male flock impotent.

An undated video clip of the preacher saying he will sexually weaken defiant male members of his church has since gone viral on social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.

“Wanaume wale mtanichezea, nitakuwa nawafunga hiyo kakitu yako. Utakuwa unaona mke wako na macho. Nitawafunga hiyo kitu yenu, mtabaki tu na macho, ng’ombe hizi,” the preacher is heard saying in the 30-second video clip.

The video was supposedly recorded when Ng’ang’a was preaching to his congregants on a yet-to-be-known date.

And now, a section of male congregants at Neno Evangelical Ministries, have written a formal letter to the preacher demanding he publishes an apology to them in Kenyan newspapers within 48 hours beginning Monday, August 26.

“In the event that we shall not have obtained your compliance within the period aforesaid, our further instructions are to commence private criminal prosecution against you under section 95, 96 and 97 of the Penal Code or civil proceedings for general damages for defamation at your risk as to legal costs and all other incidentals thereto and without reference to you,” said the aggrieved male members of Neno Church, who filed their complaint through Otieno & Amisi Advocates.

Section 95 of Kenya’s Penal Code addresses threats to breach of peace or violence, Section 96 talks about incitement to violence and disobedience of the law, and Section 97 talks about assembling to smuggling.
