The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has announced the decision to open its offices across the country on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

In a notice to the public, NTSA said its offices will remain open on Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm to facilitate the collection of logbooks, number plates and smart driving licences.

"To facilitate our clients beyond the normal operation days (Monday to Friday), all NTSA offices will be opened on Saturday, 2nd March 2024, from 8 am to 1 pm for collection of LOGBOOKS, NUMBER PLATES and SMART DLs," NTSA said.

The authority further disclosed that it had notified Kenyans through Short Message Service (SMS) to visit their offices for the collection of the aforementioned documents.

"We urge our esteemed clients who have received SMS notifications to visit the NTSA office identified during the application process and collect NUMBER PLATES, LOGBOOKS and SMART DLs."

NTSA urged motorists who are going to their offices to collect logbooks, number plates and smart driving licences to carry their original national identity cards, previous logbooks and old number plates.

"Collection requirements; Smart DL: Original ID. Logbook: Previous Logbook and Original ID. Number Plates: Old plates ( both) and Original ID," NTSA said.

eCitizen

NTSA in December 2023 announced all of its online services would be integrated with the eCitizen platform.

The move it said was part of the authority's plan to implement the directive to migrate all government services to the eCitizen Platform.
