Mother’s Day each year in May is a big event in Kenya because mothers are highly revered in Kenyan society and they are considered the heroes in their local communities. Kenyans have on Sunday, May 8, 2022, marked the global celebration with beautiful tributes to their mothers.

Here are some of the politicians and celebrities who shared beautiful messages to mothers on this day;

  1. Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris

Nairobi county woman representative Esther Passaris marked the Mother's Day celebration with a beautiful message to her mother and donations to her followers to enjoy the day with their mothers.

Taking to her social media platforms, the ODM lawmaker expressed her undying love for her mother.

"Mum you are my pillar of strength. I love you beyond explanations and expressions. You are my everything. My one and only," she posted.

2. Raila Odinga and Ida Odinga

ODM leader Raila Odinga and his wife Ida Odinga also shared goodwill messages to mothers in the world, with Ida underscoring that the globe has no excuse of not celebrating the special day.

"There is a mystery in the power and abundance of our mothers. That is why we celebrate them. Happy Mother’s Day!," Raila posted.

3. Songstress Nadia Mukami

Afro-pop songstress Nadia Mukami who recently delivered a bouncing baby boy also shared touching messages to mothers in the world as she recounted her first experience as a mother. Nadia shared how motherhood presented itself with so many lessons and difficulties. The

Veteran politician Martha Karua also celebrated mothers with a special tribute on her social media pages. Karua stated that it is mothers who nurture generations and speak hope into their lives.
