Police in Narok are investigating the death of a 51-year-old man from Orpopong’i Village who was found lifeless in his house, with genitals missing on Thursday evening (May 14).

The deceased, a quarry worker, was last seen in public on Monday, May 11, Narok Town assistant chief, Daniel Sankale, told K24 Digital.

Phyllis Kuluma, the caretaker of the house that the deceased had rented, described the man as a reserved tenant, who rarely socialised with his neighbours.

“We hadn’t seen him for days, and thought that given the nature of his work, which requires a lot of physical energy, he was resting in the house,” Kuluma told K24 Digital.

“However, when it took long before seeing him in public, we broke down his door and found him dead, his private parts had been severed from his body,” she added.

The deceased’s workmate, John Gathua, urged police to ensure they establish how his colleague met his death.

The deceased was taken to Narok County Referral Hospital mortuary.
