Magoha stops clamour for more universities

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha has thwarted clamour by a section of politicians to create more universities in their regions.

On Monday, Prof Magoha warned that the mushrooming of universities over the last 10 years has compromised the level and quality of education in institutions of higher learning.

This, he held, has led to varsities releasing incompetent and unskilled graduates to the job market.
