Legendary athlete Robert Gwaro Ouko will be buried at his
Kerarapon farm in Kajiado County on Friday.

This was announced on Monday by South Nyanza Athletics Kenya chairman
Peter Angwenyi after he visited Ouko's home with other athletics
officials to fine tune arrangements for his burial.

“Today we visited the residence of the late Bob and we went through
some arrangements towards his final send-off program. The burial
ceremony will be on Friday August 30 at his Kerarapon residence in
Kijiado, but before then there will be a main funds drive at Nairobi
Central SDA Church on Wednesday from 5pm,” Mr Angwenyi said.

Ouko, a member of 4x400 metres relay team that won gold for Kenya at
the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, took his final blow on August 19, aged
70.

He died at his Ngong' home following a short illness.

His death leaves two surviving members of that famous quartet Charles
Asati and Hezekiah Nyamao as the other team member, Julius Sang, died
on April 9, 2004.
