Mang’u High School has landed a Boeing 737 700 aircraft donation from Kenya Airways to support ongoing preparations for aviation learning.

The event held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, was presided over by Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary(CS) Kipchumba Murkomen, as well as the airline's MD and CEO, Allan Kilavuka.

This comes as part of the State-owned airline's efforts to empower and help train future aviators.

"This act serves as a commitment to support learning institutions and nurturing the next generation of aviators," Kenya Airways said in a statement on social media.

In his speech, Murkomen lauded the move saying;

“Investing in education is investing in our nation's future, and Kenya Airways' generous donation of this aircraft to Mangu High School is a shining example of corporate social responsibility at its best.”

On his part, Allan Kivuka said he is hopeful the initiative will bear a great impact.

“This donation is true to our commitment to nurturing talent and driving economic growth, not only in Kenya but also in the broader African continent. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the profound impact this initiative will have on Mangu High School," he stated.
