KDF soldier dies after fight with wife, police report shows they bit each other

A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier has died after a fight with his wife at their home in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County.

The 37-year-old soldier, Daniel Omollo Onyango was pronounced dead on arrival at the Kahawa Garrison Health Centre in Kiambu County.

According to the police report, the fight broke out on Sunday morning, just minutes after midnight, when the KDF man bit his wife on the shoulder.

In retaliation, the 27-year-old wife, Violet Asale Emu, is said to have bit him on the left thumb, left hand, right side of the chest and back of the shoulder.

Thereafter, police said, the KDF private who is based at Gilgil, developed convulsions and was taken to the military health centre.

After the KDF soldier was pronounced dead, the wife was advised to seek police assistance.

The scene was visited by police officers and detectives based at the DCI Githurai Kimbo.
