The National Police Service has reported a tragic accident that occurred in Mukhonje area, near Lwandedi, along Webuye - Eldoret road. In a post shared on their social media platforms, the service stated that two petrol tankers burst into flames after they collided.
"It has been established that two petrol tankers driven by unknown drivers from Eldoret direction towards Webuye were involved in an accident and burst into flames. The fate of the drivers, and conductors, if any is not yet established.," the post read in part.
The police service further urged motorists plying the route and onlookers to exercise caution. They confirmed that a team of officers has been dispatched to the scene of accident.
