Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati has opened up about his relationship saying he has never cheated on his wife.

The MP who is serving his second term in Parliament was speaking in Kisii during a rally at his hometown in Nyamache.

He is currently running for the Kisii County gubernatorial seat, an announcement he made last year.

“She helps me. I have never cheated on her. I don’t entertain slay queens or funny women,” Arati said.

He praised his Chinese wife as he introduced her to his supporters.

When she stood up to address the supporters, the Asian lady first danced to a Kisii vernacular song that praises her husband.

She then spoke in fluent Kisii language as she introduced herself as Kwamboka.

“My name is Kwamboka and I'm the wife of Simba. Thank you for coming. I request that you vote for our leader Simba Arati (for the governor seat),” she said.

Her address saw locals clap as they were awed with how she had mastered the Kisii language.

During the function, Arati was dressed in traditional attire.

He was endorsed by the people of Bobasi who gave him the nod to run for the county’s top seat.

“The resounding endorsement by the people of Bobasi at Nyamache Stadium this afternoon, speaks volumes and is a testament of the confidence that our people have in the ODM Party and our capacity to greatly transform Kisii County. We shall deliver for our people,” he posted on Facebook.

Arati has been traversing the vast Kisii County as he asks locals to support his bid.

He will be battling it out with other politicians who include; Senator Prof Sam Ongeri, CAS in the Ministry of Roads Chris Obure and Woman Representative Janet Ong’era.

Already, Simba has picked Richard Onyonka as his preferred Senatorial candidate and Robert Monda as his running mate.
