A 16-year-old girl from Kajiado North gave birth to a baby girl on Examination Eve.

The new mother was, consequently, forced to sit the 2019 KCPE at Magadi Hospital in Kajiado County.

Kajiado West Deputy County Commissioner, William Kakimoni, said the teenager safely delivered via C-section.

And in Kisumu County, a teenage girl was forced to sit her English composition paper in hospital after she gave birth at the Ahero Sub-County Hospital in Nyando.

The 2019 KCPE kicked off on Tuesday, with Mathematics scheduled as the first paper.

The national test ends on Thursday, October 31, with candidates expected to sit Social Studies as the last paper.
