Former Isukha Central MCA, Richard Muchesia, on Tuesday night fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself.

The incident happened at the couple’s matrimonial home in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County.

It is suspected Muchesia murdered his wife, who is a nurse in Kajiado County, after a domestic dispute.

The cause of the tragic fight remains unknown.

Muchesia’s family in Shinyalu, Kakamega County has confirmed news of the couple’s death.

The ex-MCA unsuccessfully ran for Shinyalu parliamentary seat in the 2017 general election.

Correction: We had erroneously said in our previous update that Muchesia's wife was an AP officer. We have since established that she was a nurse in Kajiado County, and made the appropriate correction. We apologise.
