The Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the list of shortlisted candidates for the Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) positions.

The position falls below the Cabinet Secretary (CS) and above the Principal Secretary position and is often considered a reward for key allies who lose elections.

According to the list shared by PSC on Monday, February 20, 2023, notable names who lost in the August 2022 elections dominated with the majority being President William Ruto's key allies and Azimio rebels who shifted allegiance to the Kenya Kwanza government.

Those shortlisted candidates will appear before the PSC interview panel on March 1, 2023, and Kenyans have been urged to submit petitions on the names of those shortlisted by Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

If they qualify, the candidates will be appointed by President Ruto to serve on a contract basis.

From city politician Millicent Omanga to former Homa Bay governor Evans Kidero, below is the full list of election losers shortlisted for the position.
