Anne Thumbi’s 4-year-old son was sired by the Late Kibra MP, Ken Okoth, DNA test results released on Thursday, September 5, have revealed.

Ms Thumbi is set to address journalists at the Milimani Law Courts on Thursday 3pm.

Confusion marred Ken Okoth’s funeral in July, when Thumbi sought court orders to stop the interment process of the late legislator, saying -- at the time -- that her 4-year-old son was sired by Okoth, but the late MP’s family had refused to allow her (Thumbi) and her son be recognised as part of Okoth’s family.

Thumbi moved to court seeking to have her son acknowledged as the late parliamentarian’s scion.

The court would later allow Ken Okoth’s DNA samples be taken for tests to ascertain whether he, indeed, sired Thumbi’s baby.

Thumbi, a nominated MCA in Nairobi, and Ken Okoth met sometime in 2013, and their relationship yielded a son, despite Okoth being married to an Italian national, Monica Okoth.

Ken Okoth succumbed to colorectal cancer on July 26.
