Police in Lang'ata, Nairobi have launched investigations after armed robbers who were masquerading as security officers robbed a G4S armoured vehicle of Sh72 million.

The armed robbers had two escort vehicles, and sandwiched the G4S cash transportation vehicle.

G4S personnel were to load the money at the Standard Chartered ATM located in the Nairobi West Shopping Centre when the armed robbers pounced on them, taking away the cash.

A security manager at the G4S, Bernard Apidi, is among those questioned over the robbery.
