Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Susan Nakhumicha has landed a new role as a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Alliance for Women's Health Board.
Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the board's objective is to advance women's agenda on health, equity and economic empowerment.
In her acceptance speech, the CS expressed gratitude asserting that investment in women's health is vital in building thriving societies and economies globally.
She also assured citizens that she will continue to champion, amplify and advocate Kenya's commitment to prioritising women's health and their well-being.
"Honoured to represent Kenya as a member of @WEF's Global Alliance for Women’s Health Board. The objective of the Board is to advance women's agenda on health, equity, and economic empowerment.
"Through this forum, I will continue to champion, amplify, and advocate Kenya's commitment to prioritising women's health and their well-being - founded on the conviction that an investment in women's health is vital in the building of thriving societies and economies globally," the CS said.
