Embattled Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja now says he will not be intimidated by threats of arrest and persecution by the state.

Taking to his social media hours after a plan to arrest him over alleged involvement in international crimes emerged, the senator stated that he has original and legit documents from the relevant institutions insisting that he qualifies for the governor's position.

"My qualifications are legit and the relevant institutions have refused to play along with your games. Let the people decide," he wrote.

He added that his resolve remained firm daring the police to arrest him at his office.

"Bwana DCI Kinoti, I'm at my Riverside office, karibu or let me know if you'd like me to come over. Your office will not install a project on the people of Nairobi," he stated.

Sakaja has been making headlines days after reports alleging that he may have forged his degree reportedly acquired from Team University in Uganda emerged.
