Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino has offered a scholarship to Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition's die-hard supporter Nuru Okanga upon completion of his primary education.
Nuru Okanga,32, was among 1.4 million candidates who sat the final Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) test under the 8-4-4 system.
Through his X account, Babu congratulated Okanga and offered financial help to enable him to further his studies.
"Congratulations Nuru Okanga for Passing the KCPE Exams with flying colours. I will give you a scholarship to further your secondary school Education. Mwalimu wa Maths hapa ni Wapi?" he quipped.
Notably, Nuru Okanga's KCPE results remain a misery after he dismissed the marks circling on social media as fake.
In his recent update after the results were released, he acknowledged his recent achievement but did not disclose his marks.
"I may not be where I want to be, but thank God I am not where I used to be. Congratulations to me. Celebrations coming up in a few," he wrote.
Prior to writing the national test, Okanga revealed Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah helped him prepare by hiring a professional tutor in Nairobi who would teach him whenever required.
"Nataka nishukuru mheshimiwa Wajakoya ambaye alikua ameniandikia mwalimu kule Nairobi, mwalimu ambaye amehitimu. Niko sure hii mtihani ata kama sitafikisha marks ambayo watu wanatarajia, marks 250 kwangu iko sawa," he added.
He said he decided to embark on his education journey in preparation for his future political ambitions.
