President William Ruto has come out to market the Kenyan wildlife in a cheeky way, claiming the presence of a "Baboon Parliament".
Speaking after meeting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ruto highlighted a number of tourist attraction sites in the country that are a bit different from the normal wildlife.
"You will be pleased to know that we have the only Baboon Parliament. There is a place here in Kenya where Baboons meet to deliberate on issues affecting their lives," Ruto stated.

The President was referring to Mt Suswa Wildlife Sanctuary, where primates assemble every day in the caves in what looks like an assembly to deliberate on wild issues.
For years, the gathering has been nicknamed the ‘Primate Parliament’ due to the orderliness exuded by the animals.
The primates are also said to be so secretive that they go to the 'Parliament' in the cover of darkness and leave at dawn to avoid detection by human beings camping at the site to see them.
Ruto also invited the German Chancellor to visit Tana River County where "elephants take bath", and "lions that fish" in Lamu.
"In this same country, if you go to a place called Tana River, you will witness elephants that take bath in the ocean. If you travel South a bit to Lamu you will find lions that do fishing. This is in one country," Ruto said.
Ruto announced the government's commitment to support German investors with incentives to engage successfully with investment opportunities in Kenya.
