A General Service Unit (GSU) officer attached to GSU headquarters in Ruaraka has disappeared without a trace since Friday.

Corporal Joseph Otieno is said to have gone missing for the last three days and efforts to trace him haven’t bored any fruits since his phone has been switched off.

His wife Caroline Adhiambo filed his missing report on Sunday at Kasarani Police Station.

Adhiambo says they were to go home on Saturday morning.

“I left the house around 7:30 am and left him in the house. He did not tell me anything because we all knew we will be heading home in the following morning,” Adhiambo said.

He is said to have left the GSU headquarters on Friday around 11:00 am and became unreachable by phone 10 minutes later.

The 36-year-old officer was last traced around Naivas Supermarket in Ruaraka by his phone signals before it was switched off.

Otieno’s hired car was discovered abandoned close to a quarry in Mwiki area, Kasarani Sub County on Sunday.

It was taken to Mwiki Police Station where investigating officers tracked it and found it there.

He had hired the car for five days since Thursday for his personal use.

Members of the public who are privy to his whereabouts have been urged to report to the nearest police station to assist with investigations.
