Diamond Platnumz's manager Babu Tale has revealed the intrigues behind the song 'Zuwena'.
In a post shared via his official Instagram account, Tale disclosed that the song had been sitting in the archives for four years before it was officially released six days ago.
He explained that the singer felt that it was not the right time to release the song yet. Efforts to convince Diamond to release the music were futile.
Tale also recalled that when Diamond finally got a hold of and wanted to release the song. However, Tale was sceptical that it may not be received in the manner expected.
To his surprise, the song got a good reception from the singer's fans across the continent.

This loosely translates to:
"The thing you don't know about this song #Zuwena is that it was recorded four (4) years ago, that is, me and my colleagues @mkubwafellatmk @sallam_sk have listened to it but we were disappointed that it will not be released… I once looked for @lamataleah to be the director of this song and he was ready.. the problem was for the musician himself, he demanded the time for this song to come out yet.. and if I'm already going to tell you Boss.
"Then a month ago I said this is the year of ZUWENA coming out and I will direct it myself… I was afraid because I saw that the song is very much inside… is it really going to reach where we want it to reach? Suddenly the song has arrived and it has grown big in Africa. There is something to learn here. What is good will be good regardless of whether you conceal it. The other two were also recorded seven (7) years ago, I believe they will be well received too," Tale added.
The song Zuwena features Diamond conversing with his dead brother about his widow who has changed since he died.
