Earlier, family and friends paid glowing tributes to the deceased, and friends and fans who failed to attend the funeral honoured Chira in emotional tributes online.

Chira's heartbroken grandmother eulogised him as a supportive child who always ensured his family was okay.

"Brian Chira was my first grandson, born by my first daughter. He has been my best friend since childhood, he was supportive and has been providing for us and has been obedient as always. He could wash his clothes, clean the house, and take care of his cousins. His only wish was to see us settle in our own modern house and have our own compound, he always wished the best for me, he made several sacrifices for me," she said.

"He was in school but realised that I was struggling with his younger cousin, he opted to quit school and look for a job to make ends meet for us. Brian always made random visits at home. On his last visit which was on March 9, we talked about the family. I wish he knew how he was in society, but now I know, Brian is a star."

The grandma expressed immense sadness saying Chira's unexpected demise has left a big gap in their lives.

"Brian has left a big void in our lives, he always asked me to love him the way he was and I loved him. My grandson, I loved you since you came into our lives. I will surely miss you. Say hi to your mom Sophia and Alice May you find peace," she added.

Musician Otile Brown also honored the departed TikToker with his song 'One Call'.

Chira dies

Chira, a TikTok sensation, died in a hit-and-run accident that involved a speeding lorry on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

At the time, the fallen TikToker who was drunk was fleeing from a boda boda rider to avoid paying him when the lorry hit him.

Recalling the unfortunate incident, a witness, Zeleck Momanyi, revealed that the impact threw Chira metres ahead before the lorry ran over his body again.

"Tukaenda tukafika junction so nlikua nataka kudivert kuenda nyumbani na unfortunately Brian alikua anaenda different direction so alikua anataka kumwacha hapo lakini venye alikua mveli alisema tena naomba munisongeshe munifikishe mahali fulani, tusonge mbele kidogo. Aya nkaambia boda boda tusonge alafu turudi unipeleke home. So after tumesonga tumefika mahali alituambia, akashuka tu pikipiki and then mtu wa pikipiki kumuitisha fare akaanza tu kukimbia. Before tu asonge two steps mbele hivi ndo gari ilitokea tu ikampiga, Canter ya white ili speed off ikaenda,

"Alipigwa akaenda distance then gari ikamfwata mbele ikampita juu," Momanyi said.
