Kenyan singer Mr Seed has admitted crossing boundaries with his recent remarks on polygamy and relationships.

Seed while speaking in a podcast opined that polygamy is natural to men. The statement, however, rubbed his wife -Nimo Gachuiri wrongly who later called him out terming the comment insensitive considering he was in a committed relationship.

Taking to Instagram, the singer in a lengthy apology addressed to his wife and mother of his two children acknowledged that his remarks did not align with his respect for Nimo and pledged to be more careful with his expressions moving forward.

"Dear Nimo, I apologize sincerely for any unintended hurt my recent comment on marriage and relationships may have caused. I realize now that my words did not align with the respect I hold for you. Your feelings matter deeply to me and I am committed to being more thoughtful in my expressions moving forward. I value our relationship dearly and regret any discomfort my remarks may have brought to you or any other person. With love, Mr Seed," the 'Only One' hit singer wrote.

The mother of two questioned the singer's intentions noting that it is unfortunate for someone in a committed relationship to make such insensitive remarks.

She noted that after confronting her husband, he maintained a defensive stand claiming that netizens had just picked a specific segment to spur their narrative.

"So I saw the snippet of the podcast done by Mr Seed saying whatever he was saying. I didn't even finish watching it, I was pissed off. So I turned to him and asked hizi ni nini sasa unasema surely? The next thing I said was people must really think I'm stupid. So he was like you should watch the whole podcast ati they picked only that part so that it could trend," the mother of two narrated.

Adding; "What I want to say is whether it was for clout, it was an insensitive thing to say when you are clearly in a committed relationship."
