Popular content creator and chess champion Elsa Majimbo is this time advocating for women to be friends with Nigerian men.

In a video she shared on her X media, the unapologetic content creator heaped praises on a friend of hers who had flown to Los Angeles (LA) from New York to just treat her for her 21st birthday.

She revealed that despite her initial plan not to celebrate her birthday, Laolu insisted on celebrating her and even offered to fly from New York to LA for the occasion.

"On the night before my 21st birthday, I received a call from one of my closest friends, Laolu, and he asked me what are you doing for your birthday. To me, birthdays are not a big deal, so I told him nothing, and he was like, 'are you joking, you are turning 21, you can drink in America now legally, you have to do something,'" Majimbo recounted.

Adding;

"He was like, 'do you want me to fly to LA because he lives in New York?' I said no because it's a very expensive flight and it's a 5 or 6 hours flight. The next day, 11 a.m., my phone rings and Laolu is on the phone, and he is like 'I'm in LA, meet me at 1.00 p.m, we are going shopping, happy birthday.' He hang up."

Majimbo went on to describe the lavish birthday celebration arranged by Laolu, which included a shopping spree on a high-end street near Beverly Hills.

Despite Majimbo's attempt to decline the extravagant gestures, Laolu insisted on treating her to everything, including groceries.

"He took me shopping, and after we went shopping, and I needed to buy groceries, and he was like 'I will take you.' So we go and we are hanging out, I'm buying these things, and he paid for everything, takes my things, and drops me at my place, he was so sweet," Majimbo said.

Majimbo, Laolu's friendship

The content creator emphasized that this was the greatest platonic love she had ever encountered.

"He goes to his hotel and waits for me to get ready for dinner. We went for dinner, had a good time, and the next day Laolu flew back to New York. That's the greatest platonic love I have ever experienced. If he can fly and come after I said I am not celebrating my birthday. If I can do it you can too, that's my reasoning," Majimbo added.
