Kenyan journalist Larry Madowo caused a stir on social media when he was seen reporting for CNN without any pants on.
Madowo, who currently works as CNN African correspondent, shared a clip that caught the behind-the-scene surrounding where he was seen wearing a decent coat and an official shirt but underneath he was only clad in undergarments.
The camera was only focused on Madowo's torso meaning viewers didn't get to see that he was wearing tiny shorts while reporting.
"What you don’t see on TV," Larry Madowo captioned the clip.
Madowo was reporting on the military coup in Niger. Viewers only saw him clad in an official shirt and coat.
OVERNIGHT: A senior US official met with leaders of the military junta in Niger for more than 2 hrs.
They had “extremely frank and at times quite difficult” conversations but added “it was not easy to get traction there” because they're adamant. Are they warming up to Russia? pic.twitter.com/1gpAqClWsr— Larry Madowo (@LarryMadowo) August 8, 2023
It's not the first time that Larry Madowo is seen reporting while donning casual wear underneath.
In May 2023, Madowo also set tongues wagging when he was seen reporting from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia while clad in shorts.
The Kenyan journalist was reporting on the conflict in Sudan.
In December 2021, Madowo was also seen clad in shorts while reporting on the Tigray conflict in Ethiopia from a hotel room or his living room in Nairobi.
The CNN Africa correspondent took to social media and posted a photo of himself while he was reporting on the conflict in Ethiopia.
From the photo he shared, Madowo could be seen wearing a shirt and a coat while below his abdomen he was only wearing shorts.
