Yvonne Mugure- woman at the centre of controversial Ksh90 million cheque is shutting down critics.

The TikToker took to her Instagram stories to dispel ongoing chatter about her huge bank deposit saying she is keen to post honest content on her page.

She says she is not looking for public validation and politely reminded people that on financial matters, rules differ between the haves and have-nots.

"I wouldn't post a video when I haven't done my research and also if something isn't true. I think people also forget the rules for people that don't have money and people that have money are not the same. Whatever you checked on Google about what you can or not do with the cheque does not apply to everyone. And I'm not reading people for filth, I didn't know that either. I wish you knew how much I'm laughing at the comments it's so funny to me," she responded.

Further, while seemingly confirming she is former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu's niece, she questioned why her uncle is being dragged into the situation.

"Also, people talking about me and my uncle. What does my uncle get to do with me? How are those two correlated? We are two different people. Nevertheless, I'm never ashamed of my family. I'm proud of where I come from," she said.

The content creator spurred reactions after her video revealing she was depositing a Ksh90M cheque for a house sale went viral.

Netizens debated about the eligibility of such transactions with some hawk-eyed ones pointing out spelling mistakes on the cheque.

Mugure says she runs businesses in the US but she is hoping to move and settle in Kenya soon and asked Kenyans to help her secure her dream mansion.

“I’m super excited because I’ve been wanting to get a house here (Kenya), and I have been inspired and I have been shopping for a few things. I will still be travelling to the US for business and coming back for more here” she stated.
