Controversial rapper KRG the Don arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to make true his threat of roughing up US-based content creator Andrew Kibe who had just touched down.
Kibe arrived in Nairobi on Friday evening December 1, 2023, after more than two years in the US.
The former radio presenter was welcomed by a team of online media practitioners and fans who were waiting for him at JKIA.
Kibe, who was clad in a military Arafat scarf, refused to speak to the media while walking out of the airport.
KRG showed up at JKIA to beat up Kibe as he had promised but was stopped by a group of 'elders'.
Videos doing rounds on social media show the mediators pleading with KRG as arrived at JKIA driving his sleek.
Speaking to the press after he was stopped from attacking Kibe, KRG bragged that if it was not for the mediators he would have beaten the living daylights out of the controversial US-based blogger.
"Nyinyi mulikua pale, wazee mumeona wangapi wananibembeleza 'please, please, please'. Wamechinja mbaka mbuzi tatu, wamemwaga damu pale chini 'Bugaa tunakuomba thafadhali kwa heshima na taadhima muache huyu kijana anaitwa Kibe, tusiangalie mambo yake'. Wakaniongelesha pale kisapere mingi," KRG said.
He mocked Kibe saying he was a coward for dressing up like Muslim women to hide his face.
"Jamaa amekuja amejifunika kama mwanamke. Ule Kibe nyi munajua anasemanga yeye ni simba amevaa kofia hivi anakua na ndevu, leo mumemuona vipi? Si amevaa kama mwanamke wanavaa wanawake kwa Kiislamu.
"He is a coward, in short yeye ni muoga. Kwa sababu ya nini? Ana maadui wengi lakini maadui zake pia ni waoga kama yeye kwa sababu hakuna mwenye amesema mimi nakunakuna huyo jamaa leo. Ni mimi tu," KRG said.
In his parting shot, KRG promised Kibe that he would beat him to a pulp wherever he would bump into him as long as he is still in the country.
"Hello Kibe, sehemu yoyote ntakupata ile mambo utajiskililia kwa maskia yako ama kujionea kwa mambo yako itabaki kumbukumbu kwako na kizazi kijacho. Yani ile mambo utajionea wewe ata Abnowas hajajionea bado," he said.
The initial threat
KRG claimed that Andrew Kibe insulted him online in the name of making content which he didn’t like. He vowed to teach him a lesson if he set his foot back in the country.
”Mzee Kibe role model wa wale maboys wananyong’ang’a eeh! Sasa sikiliza bwana naskia unakuja Kenya.
Nakuuma hapo asubuhi watu wakinirecord," KRG said in a video.
”Vile wewe unasemanga we ni master nitumie details zako nikuchukue airport mimi mwenye Bughaa nakuuma hapo utajua mimi ni msani wa serikali na umetudharau sana kwanza mimi ulikuwa unanitukana sana utajua haujua," he added.
Reacting to KRG's threat, Andrew Kibe said he had nothing to fear and vowed to fly to the country as planned.
”Kenya is my country why would I fear anyone? Apart from pointing out the stupid things they share, they can do whatever you gotta do," Andrew Kibe said.
”Story mob sitaki kujua, if you have feelings staki kujua. Wee fanya vile unataka. Uko na snipper whatever it is you do. I have lived long I am 47 years old and maybe it’s time for me to go but Kenya nakuja," he added.
