Kenyan dancehall musician KRG The Don has shown support for President William Ruto and expressed his confidence in him amid looming critics that the president has not delivered some of his promises to Kenyans.

Speaking to Vincent Mboya, the artiste, who is an ardent supporter of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, highlighted that Ruto needed two or three years for his promises to materialize.

KRG noted that the Head of State should not be blamed for the high cost of living urging Kenyans to learn to adjust as it is part of life.

The 'Una Shida Gani' hitmaker highlighted that Ruto was voted for five years and whatever he promised he would work on it and he just needed time and patience.

The dancehall star also noted a tendency among Kenyans that they often criticize a sitting president but change their tune post-term completion.

He gave an example of the transition from Uhuru Kenyatta's presidency, recalling how during his tenure, criticisms were abundant about the state of the economy.

However, after his departure, sentiments shifted to praise, portraying Ruto as inadequate.

"He was elected for five years, so planning and executing, give him about two years, and then now results will be seen the third and fourth year. Unajua mtu akiwa ameshikilia steering watu hawaoni, wakati amepea mtu mwingine alafu aendeshe kombokombo ndo unaona kweli, si juzi mlikua mnasema Uhuru Kenyatta amefanya mambo imekua mbaya, si sai mnasema Kenyatta alikua sawa,? Human beings have a problem of complaining, we love complaining, hakuna siku bei ya vitu imerudi nyuma, lazima vitu ziende mbele," KRG expressed.

Quit complaining

The controversial artiste urged fellow Kenyans to live within their means and prioritize essential expenses rather than lamenting about the high cost of living.

'"Just because you're earning a certain amount, unataka kuishi extravagant, ununue gari sita, ukue an mipango ya kando sita, ulewe, ulale kwa bar, ununue vitu kiholela. Sasa vitu ikipanda kidogo, unakua mwendawazimu, because you don't want to adjust, we unataka vitu imentain au iende chini wakati wewe unataka mshahara ipande, find a way to adjust," he urged.'"Just because you're earning a certain amount, unataka kuishi extravagant, ununue gari sita, ukue an mipango ya kando sita, ulewe, ulale kwa bar, ununue vitu kiholela. Sasa vitu ikipanda kidogo, unakua mwendawazimu, because you don't want to adjust, we unataka vitu imentain au iende chini wakati wewe unataka mshahara ipande, find a way to adjust," he urged.

"Sai hamwezi sema Ruto ni mzuri, akitoka ndo mtaona alikuwa mzuri," KRG pointed.
